Family:  Saxifrage (Saxifragaceae)

Hardy to Zones 3 to 8

Native to the Pacific Northwest.  Pretty edging plant with bell-shaped, white flowers. Traditional usage (TWM): astringent.  Sow seed on surface in spring and keep evenly moist and shaded until germination.  Work up plants in pots and transplant when sufficiently robust.  Will naturalize in mesic shade garden or partly sunny pathside situation.  Very comely.
