Evergreen woody perennial subshrub native to SW Europe, flowering to 2 feet tall.  Camphoraceously  aromatic, with fluffy, ball-like flower clusters.  Source of “Oil of Marjoram.”  Plant prefers a sunny and dry position.  Space plants 2 feet apart.
