Rhubarb, Glaskins Perpetual (Rheum rhabarbarum), potted plant

$8.50

Family:  Buckwheat (Polygonaceae)

Hardy to zone 5 to 10.

Herbaceous perennial. “Glaskins Perpetual” makes nice red stems and keeps producing throughout the season, therefore the “perpetual” adage.  We find these to be reliable and vigorous. The stems are very good in tarts, pies, jams, etc.  The taste is sweet/tart.  Rhubarb thrives in full sun and composty soil.

Potted Plant, Certified Organically Grown

Can anyone comment on the taste of this perpetual rhubarb? I would like to grow some for strawberry rhubarb tarts and am in zone 9B in Florida.

This is a preferred variety for culinary purposes–tarts, pies, jams, etc.
