(Du-zhong, Eucommia bark, Hardy Rubber Tree) Deciduous broadleaf native to China, to 60 feet tall and about 40 feet spread of branches.   Traditional use of the dried bark (TCM): tonifies the yang, kidney and liver deficiency, sore back, fatigue, frequent urination.  The tree prefers sun and is not particular about soil type, although it does not tolerate wet feet.  It is drought tolerant.  The tree has a moderate rate of growth.
