(Fragrant Churchsteeples) Herbaceous perennial native to Northern Europe, Scandinavia. Flowers yellow to 5 feet in the months of July to August. Traditional usage (TWM): antibacterial, astringent and antiinflammatory, used for treating wounds, gastrointestinal woes, urinary tract infection. As a tea herb, a very satisfactory substitute for green tea, without caffeine and with a unique aroma and flavor. Plant does best in moist shade but will withstand some sun and drought. Germination in 2 to 6 weeks at 55 degrees F. Space plants 1 to 2 feet apart.
