    Hello Richo
Just put myself to the waiting list for Myoga ! I am very excited to hear from you. I am in Maryland. I believe that’s a zone 7 but we do get heavy snow during the winter. Do you recommend to plan them as potted and brought in for the winter ? Thank you.

      Hello Noriko,
I’m surprised these are already sold out but there are more of them coming on. yes, z 7 is at the bottom end of the hardiness of this plant and it would be prudent to pot them up and bring inside for the winter. r

hi max, the nursery staff is continually growing and repropagating these. Please hit waitlist. It is pretty likely they will come up again and if they do, i would recommend ordering without delay, as they just don’t stay in stock for long. r

Edible Acres (back East) has kept these down to -13*F for 5 years with minimal loss. They have also had them exposed to heavy deer browsing with zero interest of the deer.

Hi Gordon – I grow myoga on Maui – the summer sun is intense and summer temps are in the low 90’s. When I first planted I kept the container in diffused light conditions but it hardly grew. Then I moved it to a sunny spot and it grew like crazy. From what I’ve read it can over winter in a milder winter climate but I don’t know if it will survive the 110+ degrees in Arizona. If you plant it in a container you could move it around depending on the seasons.

Robust potted plant in zone 3

    blick002 (verified owner)

I received this healthy plant over two years ago and have grown it successfully as a potted plant since. It enjoys a somewhat shady location in the greenhouse in the summer and comes inside the house before the temp dips below 50F. It goes dormant shortly thereafter (for those in the cool north, don’t panic it’s not dying!), is watered infrequently throughout the winter and reliably sprouts with many more shoots when the sun and warmth return in the spring (dividing and/or up-potting necessary almost every year). A very deep green and attractive plant…still waiting for it to produce buds to put in sushi or to enjoy the flower…hopefully this year!

I am from Japan and have been searching for the Myoga plants in the U.S.
I was very glad to find that you grow Ginger Myoga plants.
I ordered two plants and they were delivered promptly to my house in Wisconsin. I was very excited to open the package and found two very nice- looking Myoga plants. I planted in pots and they are now growing very healthy.

    Arogatou!!
Thank you very much for your service. I am so happy to find Myoga plants.
