Tomato, House (Lycopersicon esculentum), packet of 10 seeds, organic

$2.95

Family:  Nightshade (Solanacea)

Annual.  75 days to maturity

Miniature house tomato prefers to grow in pots in a bright window.  These are easy to grow, determinate, super cute, and actually do produce a rather nice tomato for in or off season enjoyment.  The tomatoes are like miniature slicers, and they cluster closely. Cultivation:  Sow in a pot in a bright window.  Use rich potting soil or even pure compost.  Barely cover seeds, tamp securely, and keep evenly moist, warm and in the light. If using a gallon pot, thin to 1 plant per pot.  If using a 3-gallon pot, choose the 3 best seedlings and grow 3 per pot.  Given sufficient light they won’t grow over 12 inches tall.  Water deeply and infrequently.

    Growing so well!

I didn’t expect these to do as well as they are… I see in the description that “given sufficient light they won’t grow over 12 inches tall”, but mine are getting a lot of light and they are 24-30″+. Just starting to produce tomatoes, so I haven’t eaten any yet.

      Hi Amber,
I hear ya, these are indeed a nice tomato choice for indoor growing. If they received stronger direct light they would be very short and stubby.
