Hardy to zones 5 to 9

Long-lived evergreen woody perennials with plump leaves that dry down into excellent spice–rich-smelling and wholesome.  This set contains English Broadleaf, French, German Winter and Mastic Thymes–full-sized packets, all organic.  Thyme is best used for flavoring eggs and other protein dishes, or for making a tea when feeling unwell.  It helps.    Plant prefers full sun, warm limey soil, side-dressing with organic compost, and moderate watering.  Sow in spring.  Average germination 5 days warm.

Hello! I just received this set and was wondering if I could go ahead and winter sow these seeds, or if I should just wait and start them when the weather is warmer? I am experimenting with winter sowing in milk jugs this year for my perennials. I only have a small pop up greenhouse I use in April to start veggies etc…Thanks!

Hi Tammie, sounds like the best approach is to sow them in April in the popup greenhouse. richo
