Thyme, Long-flowered (Thymus longiflorus), packet of 30 seeds

$3.95

Family:  Mint (Lamiaceae)
Hardy to Zones 5 to 12
Evergreen perennial subshrub endemic to the southerly coast of Spain, an area known as Andelusia.  Thyme-scented, with leaves shaped similarly to Santolina and equally fond of excellent drainage and, once established, tolerant of heat and drought.  The herb will naturalize well in warm-temperate and Mediterranean-like climates.  Flowering to only 12-inches tall, the plant produces scale-like bracts arranged in pink-tinged cones crowned by numerous long-tubed purple-pink infloresences.  Very showy.  Traditional uses (TWM): condiment spice and preservative, carminative.  Plant prefers sun and the perfect drainage afforded by rockery, gravel or sand.  Sow seeds in warm, light and moist conditions with germ in 1 to 3 weeks and ongoing.

30 seeds per packet, Open-pollinated, Untreated and NO GMO’s
