Squash, Yellow Crookneck Summer Squash (Cucurbita pepo), packet of 30 seeds, organic

$2.45

Family:  Gourd (Cucurbitaceae)

Annual.  60 days from seeding in the garden to sizzling in the pan.

The yellow crookneck was first selected by native american people of the eastern tribes.  When harvested in the early stages of development, the fruits are nearly solid, and the thin skin is edible and delicious.  These are a great subject for stir-fry. Sow in the mid to late spring, after the soil has truly warmed up.  Direct seed in rich, well-composted or manured hills and thin to three best plants per hill.  Weed and cultivate often until the plants self-mulch, which only takes about 3 weeks if all is going according to plan.  Keep the fruits picked off in order to assure a long harvest of prime fruits.

30 Seeds/pkt, Certified Organically Grown
