Hi Richo. I have heard that Solomons seal is really good for post surgery healing. I recently had surgery on my shoulder, and was wondering what your views are for this Herb for post op.. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

      Hello Francis,
Herbalists are usually pretty clear on Solomon’s Seal that it is good for treating injuries of the joints. It doesn’t appear to work well for lost cartilage, though. It is at the very least harmless as far as I know. I’ve made the tincture and used it–mucilaginous like comfrey, which by the way is another good option.

Cool. Thanks so much. I have a couple of comfrey plants that are growing like mad, thanks to your crowns. Good lord, my recent batch of seeds isn’t even here yet, and my cart is full again. Glad to have you here as I work my way through an herbal course. xo
