Senna, Wild (Senna marilandica), packet of 20 seeds
$3.95
Family: Legume (Fabaceae)
Hardy to Zones 4 to 9
(same as Cassia marilandica) Herbaceous perennial to 6 feet tall, native to central and southern USA. The rich yellow flowers with their brown/black sexual parts contrast handsomely with the blue-green foliage. Plant prefers standard garden or prairie soils and sun. Wild senna is an herbaceous perennial in colder zones, dying down to the crown after frost and coming back in the spring. Easily grown from seed. Nick through the seedcoat with a sharp blade, soak overnight in water, and the next day plant the seeds in warm, fast-draining mix. Germination takes 1 to 6 weeks. Space plants 3 feet apart.
20 seeds/pkt, Open-pollinated, Untreated, No GMO’s
