Sage, Transylvanian Blue (Salvia transsylvanica), Potted Plant, Organic
$8.50
Family: Mint (Lamiaceae)
Hardy to Zones 7 to 9, otherwise profitably grown as an annual (flowers in the first year)
Native to the Transylvanian mountains of Romania, this is a robust, full-flowered, fragrant, bright blue sage that is quite comely and attracts butterflies and other pollinators to the garden. The flowers are large, bright, and long-lived and can be convinced to grow the entire gardening season by cutting back and allowing to regrow, which these do quite nicely. Flowers to 18 inches. Plant prefers sun to part shade and is elevation tolerant. Space plants 18 inches apart.

No, Saavia pratensis is leggy and with smaller, less showy flowers. this one is way better in my estimation. r
