Family: Mint (Lamiaceae)

Hardy to Zones 5 to 9

(Clary Sage) Biennial.  The purple-pink inflorescences are covered with glandules, redolent with Clary’s peculiar essential oil.  In aroma-therapy, Clary is the scent of euphoria.  Sow seed in spring, in pots or directly in the garden.  Barely cover seed with soil and tamp firmly, then keep moist and in the light until germination, which occurs in 1 to 2 weeks.  Thin or transplant to 3 feet apart.  Flowers in the second year in multiple upright stalks to 5 feet.

Packet contains 50 seeds
5 g contains ~1,400 seeds
10 g contains ~2,800 seeds
