Marigold Set (4 seed packets): Marigolds–African Tururu, Desert, French Petite and Mexican
Family: Aster (Asteraceae)
Annual: 90 days to flowers
Marigolds are native to South America and have travelled extensively and have been selected ad infinitum. Flowers are little suns. Their fragrance is one of the definitive odors of summer. They all excrete thiophenes into the soil which disinfect and discourage soil pathogens. They are commonly grown in and among other plants as exemplary companions. Easy to sprout and grow. Sow seed in the garden or in flats in the spring or summer. Plant prefers full sun, regular garden soil, and regular watering.
