Guggul (Commiphora wightii), packet of 5 seeds, organic
$9.95
Family: Myrrh (Burseraceae)
Hardy to Zones 10 to 12, otherwise grown as a potted tree and protected from frost.
(Indian bdellium tree, gugal, guggul, gugul, Mukul myrrh Tree, Commiphora mukul) Shrub to small tree to 12 feet tall, native to India, extending also into North Africa and central Asia. Traditional usage (Ayurveda): obesity, urinary infection, antiseptic. Source of gum guggul, an oleo/gum/resin that has a myrrh-like aroma. The tree is quite growable in indoor potted culture and responds well to cactus mix and occasional watering, a light window. Plant prefers full sun, heat and dryish, very fast draining soils. Nick seed with a blade and sow about 1/2 inch deep in cactus mix and keep very warm until germination. Water occasionally. Planting in a warm greenhouse we noted germination in 18 days. Take care not to overwater seedlings in order to avoid damping off. Transplant and grow on in pots.
Packet of 5 seeds, Certified Organically Grown

hello turf, yes, this is one of the special plants that you can grow in your warmer zone. Among all the Burseraceae (the Myrrh family) these are really the easiest. richo

Hello, can a small amount of seeds be successfully sent to China? Does this seed belong to the list prohibited by the customs? How much is the transportation cost?

hello chao, Commiphora is an elite plant–it is not disallowed anywhere. I believe shipping to China is still enabled on our website, and please be aware that we do not guarantee international shipments. If you order, we will send. the shipping cost is going to be about $14.00–you can review before finalization. r

These trees can be hard to find at my local desert nursery so I decided to try and grow them by seed. I was extremely pleased at the 100% germination rate to these seeds. I would recommend these seeds and this company to friends without a doubt.
