Geranium, Scented “Peppermint” (Pelargonium tomentosum) potted plant, organic

$11.00

Family:  Geranium (Geraniaceae)

Hardy to Zone 8 to 12, otherwise grown as a summer annual or potted plant, brought in for the winter

Evergreen mounding perennial native to South Africa. Softly downy leaves, low-growing habit, giving rise to sprays of edible and aromatic white flowers.  The leaves are dark green, very soft, covered with a velvety pubescence that invites rubbing, smelling deliciously of peppermint–so much so that smellers with eyes closed may readily be fooled.  Sometimes I think this plant smells more like peppermint than peppermint itself!  Easy in potted culture, outdoors on the patio in the summer, or in frost-free beds or in the rockery.  As an indoor plant, gratifyingly green in the light of a window, requiring very little care in terms of primping or watering–a solid herbal houseplant.

Potted plant, Certified Organically Grown
