Echinacea pallida potted plant, organic

$8.50

Family:  Aster (Asteraceae)

Zones 4 to 9

(Pale Purple Coneflower) Herbaceous perennial native to the central plains states.  This is a tall, taprooted plant bearing beautiful composite flowers with drooping ray ligules and white pollen adorning the conehead.  These are far more exquisite than any hybridized Echinaceas.  The stems are tall and winsome, with the oversized coneheads swinging freely even in the slightest wind.  Very good for fairies, not so easy for photographers.  Plant prefers full sun and regular garden soil or alkaline soils, fast-draining is good, moderate water and fertility, not a very challenging plant to grow and quite attractive.  Space plants 2 feet apart.

Potted Plant, Certified Organically Grown

    Cypress

Is this cultivar pallida, usable as a medicinal varietal? Interchangeable with other echinacea?

Yes, it is very close to Echinacea angustifolia and is used interchangeably with it.
