This open-pollinated variety “Utah” yields vigorous, stocky plants with thick, solid, tender yet crisp stalks.  Plant prefers sun, richly manured soil and frequent watering.  Mound soil up around plant as it grows to keep the stalks light-green and crisp.  Sow in spring.
