Hi Richo, someone gave me a packet of the Solis Sponsa variety of your Calendula seeds. I looked on your website and elsewhere on the internet but I can’t find any information on this flower. How is it different than official calendula? What color is it? Is it used in the same ways as the official? Thanks so much!
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for writing. This is a rare accession of feral Calendula officinalis from the British Isles. It may have some dark centers and is probably going to show orange and yellow. It may be used interchangeably with the more common cultivars. There has been vast pressure on us to limit our calendula offerings to the orange type, which is most commonly used in the herb industry. Richo
