(Showy Calamint, Large-flowered Calamint)  Herbaceous perennial native to the Mediterranean. Compact plant gives a neat appearance in formal herb gardens (can trim to shape) and adapts fine to the more flowing lines of the more naturalistic garden. The entire herb is sweetly aromatic. Plant prefers sun to part shade and mesic soils. Flowers large in comparison to the plant.  Plant 1 to 2 feet apart.
