Bugle (Ajuga reptans) potted plant, organic

Family:  Mint (Lamiaceae)

Hardy to Zones 3 to 9

(Sicklewort) Stoloniferous creeping and freely flowering medicinal groundcover for shade to part sun, used as a lawn substitute or under trees ranging from Oak to Redwood.  Flower spikes to 9 inches, otherwise pretty flat.   Traditional usage: woundwort, astringent.   An excellent subject for covering the ground in shade situations, even if the soil is acidic.  The plant is comely at all stages, with purple leaves giving rise to deeply colored flowering cones.  Space plants 6 inches to a foot apart.

Potted plant, Certified Organically Grown
