hi ash, this is a set of several seed packets of bergamot varieties. if you want wild bergamot i recommend “bergamot, Sweet Leaf,” we accessed the original seed from the wild and this one is really the nicest. here’s a link you can paste in a browser https://strictlymedicinalseeds.com/product/bergamot-sweet-leaf-monarda-fistulosa-packet-of-30-seeds-organic/

Are these bergamot types good for flavoring Earl Grey/Lady Grey tea?

Richo Cech –
Hi Jess, Thban ks for writing. Yes and no. The traditional flavoring is an essential oil extracted from bergamot orange peel. However bergamot (Monarda species) can be used. Red bergamot (Monarda didyma) actually tastes most like the bergamot orange. Richo

Do u recommend direct seed or transplant?

Richo Cech –
Hello Meral, Direct seeding a small and slow-germinating seed of a perennial is very chancy. The control afforded by planting in a deep flat and then transplanting the seedling is well worth it. Richo
