Family:  Beeplant (Cleomacea), although it helps to think of it as a Brassica, to which it is related

May perform as an overwintering annual in Zones 7 to 8, otherwise grown as a summer annual, 90 days to maturity.

(Spider Flower, Navajo Spinach)  Native to Southern Canada and the Western United States.  An exemplary beeplant that matures quickly, is edible and provides much nectar for bees.  Companion plant to corn and other cultivated crops to improve pollination.  Leaves rich in vitamin A and calcium. In the past they were used as potherbs.  Traditional usage (Native American): Fever and chills.  Sow seed directly in fall garden or in spring garden.  Cold nights stimulate germination.
