Perennial deciduous vining shrub native to the US. Shiny, compound leaves graced by large sprays of red-orange, trumpet shaped flowers. Traditional usage (TWM, TNAM): Antifungal–used as a douche for treating candida or externally for fungal skin infections. Plant prefers full sun and poor, sandy and/or gravelly soil. Sow seed in spring. Easy. Space at least 4 feet apart and supply trellis.
