$2.95
Family: Nightshade (Solanaceae)
Vining annual, 65 days to harvest.
An heirloom Czech cultivar producing vigorous and disease resistant indeterminate vines with wide leaves that look a bit like those of the potato. Gives high yields of 2-inch, bright red, rounded fruits that keep well for table or market. Very cold tolerant vines in early spring keep going strong until frost. These are usually the first tomatoes to come ripe in our gardens. Standard tomato culture, cage or trellis.

I’ve grown this alongside several varieties for a few years. It is consistently the first AND last to start producing – I can attest to its vigor, disease resistance and cold tolerance! The tomatoes are the perfect size to resist cracking… IMO a must-grow for every tomato gardener (especially beginners) due to its reliability.

Hi Sean,
Thanks for growing Stupice, we also find it to be a very early producer. Good medium slicers are among the most useful of ‘maters and really hard to find a good one in the OP category. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with others. My comments are blue (as in blue in the face) and your comments golden (because your assessment is non-affiliated). Richo
