(German Winter Thyme)  Woody perennial cultivar from Germany, with fat, aromatic, and very tasty leaves. Small mounding habit, robust, with excellent winter hardiness, as well as producing some of its most useful leaves during winter.  Makes an excellent tea (dry it first).  Traditional usage (TWM): antimicrobial and antitussive.  Source of terpenoid molecule carvacrol.  Plant prefers full sun and mesic soils. Space 1 to 2 feet apart
