Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) potted plant, organic

(3 customer reviews)

$8.50$21.95

Family:  Asparagus (Asparagaceae)

Hardy to Zones 9 to 11, but usually grown indoors in hanging baskets, giving the strap-like leaves a chance to fountain and send out white-flowered stolons and new plantlets.

(Airplane Plant, Saint Bernard’s Lily, Ribbon Plant, Dian-lan)  The plant lends a lively green touch to any sunny room, produces oxygen, and cleanses the air of toxic substances such as formaldehyde.  The plant is harmless to pets.  The roots are employed (TCM): arresting cough, eliminating phlegm, detoxification, promoting blood circulation and helping heal fractures.  Transplant to a larger pot on receipt and hang in a sunny window.  Water frequently.  We have both variegated and mono color (green) plants.  If you have a preference, please let us know when ordering (use the “order comments” field at checkout).

My plants arrived in beautiful condition, expertly wrapped, full and healthy. There was a minor mix-up with my first order, and their wonderful Customer Service immediately shipped more plants to correct the problem. I cannot praise this company enough. Happy customer!

I am thrilled to find your wonderful company, where I can buy safe, no-pesticides spider plants, safe for our two cats! They love to munch them so much, so I pick one frond at a time and feed them one daily, as a special treat. They have demolished all my home-grown spider plants, and I am desperate for replacements. You have a new forever customer! Thanks so much for offering clean treasures!

Received 3 very healthy looking and carefully packed plants. They were much larger than I expected! So happy to find organically grown spider plants.

Wow! You folks never cease to amaze me! To learn that this common house plant has such wonderful medicinal attributes, in addition to the “common knowledge” of it being a good air-cleaner… I’ve got several books on TCM, none of which include this plant! Thanks again for your vital work 🙂
