You say to rub out the stems. Could you elaborate? Do we not dry the leaves to use on this herb?

      Hi Amanda,
Thanks for contacting. The traditional technique is to harvest the top 1/3 of the plant just prior to flowering and hang in bundles or lay out on screens to dry. Then, rub between the palms of the hands to release the dried leaves and remove the stems. An even more elegant approach is to use our herb rubbing screens. Here’s a youtube that’s going to orient you perfectly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmXy_9RdQTk&t=147s
I recommend getting ahold of a copy of “Making Plant Medicine” to take you to the next level.

This is one of my favorite plants in my garden. It does really well in the soil here (sandy and well drained, I think) and does well without much water during dry summers. It has a beautiful shape and stays in flower for a long time. Tasty spice, especially in stews. Thank you for these seeds.
