(Jerusalem Sage, Royal Sage, Sacred Sage)  (please, this is NOT the common yellow-flowered non-salvia Phlomis fruticosa which also goes by the name Jerusalem Sage)  Mounding perennial to 2 feet, native to Eastern Mediterranean basin.  Flowers wine-red, calyxes, bracts and stem also tinged in red.  The plant is inodorous although well-endowed with glandular hairs.  A plant for the serious sage aficionado, it is very rare to find in cultivation.   Potted Plant, Certified Organically Grown
