(Black Sage) Woody perennial shrub flowering blue to a height of 3 to 6 feet and equally as wide. Native to the dry hills of Southern California, from the Ocean to the Mojave Desert.  Blue-flowered and highly aromatic, they make a nice woody bush, a handsome flower, and are a good perennial for yard or drive. Black Sage is a reasonable plant to grow from seed–they grow nicely in pots, and should be grown out in successively larger pots until large enough to transplant to the landscape. Sow seed on fast draining mix and tamp down hard. Keep warm, evenly moist and in the light until germination, which occurs within 6 weeks.  Plant 3 to 6 feet apart. Packet contains 100 seeds
1 g contains ~600 seeds
