(Common Purslane)  Plant prefers full sun and frequent watering, and does not withstand frost.  Best consumed fresh as a salad herb, it is one of the best terrestrial sources of omega-3 fatty acids. The plant contains much calcium, iron, vitamin A and C, as well as potassium and amino acids.  Prepare a fine seedbed and press seed into surface, then keep moist until germination.
