Generally fall-sown in Zones 7 to 10 and spring-sown in colder zones
(Giant Podded Poppy) The flower is large, light-red, with a purple cross. The flower gives way to an extra-large, urn-shaped pod. Germination in cool soils takes 1 to 2 weeks.
