Native to South America, source of large-size sweet red peppers commonly used in the green stage or allowed to ripen and consumed fresh alone or in salads, chopped into stir-fries or stuffed and baked. Plant prefers full to part sun, regular watering and a fertile soil. Stocky plants grow to 18 inches tall and wide. Thick-stemmed, they do great in regular garden culture or in containerized culture. Plants are very handsome, robust and resilient. These are the sweetest sweet peppers we’ve tasted. Space 1 to 2 feet apart.
