(Arabian Mint, Moroccan mint, Horsemint, Na’ana, Gha’gha, Habak)   Herbaceous perennial native to Europe and N. Africa. Flowers to 3 feet tall.  The leaves are downy and light green, with an excellent taste.  The flowers are large, borne on multiple stalks, and they are light blue.  Plant prefers moist soils and will thrive in sun or shade.  Mix small seed with sand to stretch it.  Sprinkle on surface of soil in pot or on prepared garden bed and press in firmly.  Keep evenly moist until germ, which occurs in 1 to 3 weeks.  Thin or transplant to 1 foot apart. This is an enthusiastic grower and you may wish to employ barriers against its spread (keep in pots).
