Tri-lobed leaves, green blushed with red–thick, juicy midribs and abounding in taste.  This is one of the easiest of all lettuce types to grow, and is a good choice for home gardens, school gardens, and kid’s gardens.  Very fast to mature.  Use for baby salad greens or allow to mature into heftier leaves.  Sow spring or fall.  Standard lettuce culture–barely cover seed and keep evenly moist until germination.  Lettuces prefer cool soils for optimum germination.
