Greens, Mixed Salad Seeds, big 3 g packet, Organic
$8.95
Mixed salad greens consist of Mizuna, Mixed Lettuces, and Arugula (Roquette). Prepare a fine seed bed in the early spring, strew the seed, rake in and tamp well, keep evenly moist until germination, and thin seedlings to 3 inches apart. Cut and come again salad. I find that the 3 g packet does a 10 foot by 4 foot bed, and it comes up densely with the diverse arugala and lettuces, etc. I actually don’t thin mine, but just let them grow on until they reach about 6 inches tall, and then start harvesting. The salad greens need plenty of water and will wilt and/or bolt if you let them dry out too much.
