(Spotted Cranesbill, Storksbill, Wild Geranium) Clump-forming woodland perennial native to Eastern and Central US . Bearing showy, lilac flowers in the spring on the characteristically palmate dark-green foliage. A pretty woodland perennial, companion to many other medicinals like goldenseal, cohosh, yam, etc. Traditional usage (TWM): Dysentery, diarrhea, infant cholera. Plant prefers moist, woodland soils or regular shade garden conditions. Sow in fall or early spring in outdoor conditions, or give 90 days cold, moist stratification and then sow warm. Space plants 1 to 2 feet apart.
