(Negronne)  A preferred cultivar originally from France.  Medium-sized, dark violet figs, red-fleshed, lusciously sweet.  Prolific.  Leaf form variable.  There are 2 cycles of fruit produced, spring and fall.  Give figs full sun, fertile soil, a deep surface mulch of comfrey leaves, and water regularly, especially in the first year.   Good in potted culture, or if planting out, space 15 feet apart.
