$21.00
Family: Lizard Tail (Saururaceae)
Hardy to Zones 5 to 12
(Yu-Xing-Cao) Creeping herbaceous perennial native to China. Traditional use (TWM, TCM): Stomach ailments, infections. Our’s is the species plant–not a select cultivar or hybrid–it has the standard lemony taste to the leaves, and standard fish-soup taste to the crunchy rhizomes. Stolons and leaves used as an aromatic and tasty condiment. This plant is very easily grown and will diversify any cuisine. We recommend to market growers, connoisseurs, restaurant owners and inventive householders. Easily grown in containers, will spread in open fertile beds.

Question
Elizabeth Denison –
Is there any way to tell the difference between the species plant and the hybrids? Can I tell by the taste? It’s already in my yard and I’d like to know if it has any value since it tries to spread continuously. Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth, One way to know is if the leaf is variegated it isn’t the species plant. Richo
