(Northern Blue Flag Iris) Herbaceous perennial. Water-loving native to swamps and lowlands of the Manitoba to Nova Scotia, south to Virginia, Ohio, Illinois and Minnesota. This is an indigenous plant, with brilliant violet-blue blossoms variegated with yellow and white, interspersed with purple veins. Blue Flag rhizome is a low dose botanical. Traditional usage (TWM): stimulant to the lymphatic flow. Plant prefers moist soil or shallow water. Space 1 to 2 feet apart. Flowers 2 to 3 feet.
