$3.95
Family: Legume (Fabacea)
Vining annual, maturing in 60 to 120 days.
(Pavi, Tepari, Escomite, Yorimuni) Drought-tolerant, ancient food plant native to Mexico and the Southwestern United States. Cultivated for thousands of years. One of our most colorful and nutrient-dense native food crops. Collect the dry beans and slow-cook. Generally planted during the summer monsoons. Requires moist soils for germination but matures readily in drought conditions, and in fact will suffer if given too much water. Suitable for dryland cultivation in arid environments. Traditionally, 5 seeds are planted in a hill and allowed to sprangle on the ground. Hills may be placed from 5 to 10 feet apart.
20 seeds/pkt
