Annual. 50 to 60 days to maturity.
The standard winter cultivar, cold-hardy, thick-leaved, dense nutrition. Leaves rich in chlorophyll, Vit C, A, E, B6, thiamin, riboflavin, folate, magnesium and potassium. Sow in autumn for a fall/winter crop, or sow in early spring for a fast crop. Soil temp must be below 85 degrees F. for efficient germination. Scatter seed on a prepared seedbed, barely cover and tamp. Keep cool and moist. Thin to 3 inches apart, or sow more densely and harvest whole plants.
