Rich in protein, fiber and trace minerals, this cover crop may be sown in fall or spring and covers the earth to protect and nourish.  The pasture produced also makes excellent hay and also forage for cows, sheep, goats, pigs and chickens.  It is not recommended for horses.  Prepare a seedbed, strew the seed on surface, rake in and tamp, keep moist until germination, which is rapid.

100% organic sees, equal parts by weight:

Oats (Avena sativa)
Peas, Field (Pisum sativum)
Beans, Bell (Vicia faba minor)
Barley (Hordeum vulgare)

Coverage:  1 lb covers 400 square feet.  40 lbs per acre.  Grows to 5 feet tall.

Seed is certified organically grown.  Buying 1 will give you 1 pound.

      Hi Alicia, I’m going to guide you towards our Oats and Peas Mix instead of this one you’ve chosen here. it is out of stock due to shortage of organic barley seed. Plant the oats and peas 6 weeks before your first frost in November so that it can establish before frost. Richo
