The pasture produced also makes excellent hay and also forage for cows, sheep, goats, pigs and chickens. It is not recommended for horses. Prepare a seedbed, strew the seed on surface, rake in and tamp, keep moist until germination, which is rapid.

What time of year is best for planting this cover crop? I’m in zone 7b- 1st frost November er, last frost Easter.

Hi Alicia, I’m going to guide you towards our Oats and Peas Mix instead of this one you’ve chosen here. it is out of stock due to shortage of organic barley seed. Plant the oats and peas 6 weeks before your first frost in November so that it can establish before frost. Richo
