$21.00
Family: Mint (Lamiaceae)
Hardy to Zones 6 to 9
(Syn. L. spica) (Spike Lavender) Woody perennial native to the mountains of France and Spain. The leaves are whitish and spatula-shaped. This is a choice open-pollinated lavender and will distinguish your garden–this species lavender is not widely spread, and it is quite handsome and striking. The multiple flowering stalks are much-branched, quite tall and lithe. Remains in flower for longer than other lavenders. Yields copious quantities of mellowly aromatic essential oil. Flowers violet-blue to 2 to 3 feet. Space plants 2 to 3 feet apart.
