(Kentucky Yellowwood, Virgilia)  Deciduous tree with a handsome rounded crown to 80 feet, native to Southeastern United States. Very popular in the horticultural trade, these are choice!  Nitrogen-fixing tree prefers well-drained and rich soil.  Flowers fragrant, white, in hanging clusters like Wisteria.  Wood durable, rot-resistant, used for tool handles.  Yellow dyeplant.  Nick seeds and soak overnight, then plant in warm soil, with germ in 4 weeks.
