Tomato, Amish Paste (Lycopersicon esculentum), packet of 20 seeds, organic

$2.95

Family:  Nightshade (Solanacea)

Annual:  80 to 90 days to fruits.

Indeterminate vines produce sparse, meaty, oblong fruits that are excellent used fresh, canned, or made into a thick sauce.  These are very tasty tomatoes, and are the largest paste tomatoes I’ve seen.  They contain very few seeds.

20 Seeds/pkt., Certified Organically Grown

Notes specific to this tomato:  I found that they worked best when caged.  At first I thought the production was sparse, but they came on very heavy in the late season.  The fruits are really very large and quite soft when ripe–it is like holding a guinea pig.  These melt down fast into a thick sauce.
