Southernwood (Artemisia abrotanum) potted shrub, organic
$11.00 – $30.50
Family: Aster (Asteraceae)
Hardy to Zones 4 to 10
(Old Man, Southern Wood, Lemon-scented Southernwood) Woody perennial shrub native to the Mediterranean basin. Favorite of the late Juliette de Baraclai-Levi, the plant is lemon scented and is a soft and comely addition to any landscape. Very drought tolerant, these are easy to get established and problem free. Traditional usage (TWM): bitter tonic, vermifuge, insect repellant. Dried leaves may be made into a sachet and placed among the clothes, in order to discourage moths. Provide full sun and dryish, fast-draining soil. Grows 3 to 5 feet tall, although it is easy to trim them back and keep them shorter–around 2 feet, and shaped as you like. Space plants 3 feet apart.
Potted shrub, Certified Organically Grown

They are in our standard tree bands and about 18 to 24 inches tall. All this is almost immaterial–once these are planted in habitat they grow very quickly.
