Hi Christine, Most of us herbalists wish skullcap were a bit more invasive than it is, we never seem to have enough, and frankly Scutellaria seed harvests (all species) are among the most challenging to achieve on the medicinal herb seed farm. Scutellaria lateriflora does creep but also tends to disappear after 2 years. I wouldn’t call any of them invasive (in the sheep sorrel sense) at all. The specific environmental preferences for each species are given in my writeups. Baicalensis likes it dry,lLateriflora and barbata do better with moist soils in the sun to part shade. Richo

Hi Richo, It’s harvest time and I can’t find information on how to harvest scutellaria barbata.
