Saltwort (Salsa komarovii), packet of 100 seeds
Family: Goosefoot (Chenopodiaceae)
Annual, 55 days
(Land Seaweed, Okahijiki) Native to Japan. Succulent leaves to 18 inches, very tasty in sushi or as a side dish to rice. Plant prefers sun to part shade. Sow in spring to midsummer. Barely cover seeds with soil, tamp well and keep evenly moist until germination, which occurs in 1 to 2 weeks. The plant does well in regular garden soil and will also perform well in saline soils. Thinning is not required, since the plants do well when spaced closely together. The plants will grow a bit larger if thinned to 6 inches apart.
100 seeds per packet, open-pollinated, untreated, NO GMO’s
